Description:

As an Industrial Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for the efficient & safe execution of preparation, painting and maintenance tasks as assigned. You will be required to work within a team on a rotating shift pattern and be expected to work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining expected quality or health and Safety requirements

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform surface preparation activities, which include masking and sanding of product prior to painting
Perform spray painting functions on Industrial assembled products (apply primer/intermediate coats and colour finishes)
Operating Overhead cranes and lifting equipment to aid in the Spraying processes
Ensure coatings are completed according to our or customer requirements.
Properly contain hazardous waste generated from normal paint shop operations.
Keep equipment and work areas clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
Maintain and change paint booth media filters and surface protectant coatings as needed.
Maintain proper respirator care and safe operation in accordance with HSE requirements
Carry out quality checks using visual inspections and Elcometers for Paint DFT
Perform any other work-related tasks and duties in accordance with the business needs.
Comply with all our Company, Quality + HSE policies and procedures.
Shift working is essential

QUALIFICATIONS

Practical training in an Industrial Paint Spraying function (essential)
Level 3 (NVQ) Industrial Paint Occupations (desirable)

EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years’ Experience in working in an Engineering Environment as a trained Paint Sprayer (essential)
3-5 Years’ Experience within a Mechanical/Industrial Engineering environment (desirable)
SKILLS, TRAINING AND SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE

Knowledge of Spray-Painting Processes (essential)
Knowledge of PPE / HSE requirements for operating Spray-painting equipment (essential)
Operating Overhead cranes and lifting equipment (essential)
